That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. —Ephesians 3:16

Dana and Rich went out for an afternoon bike ride expecting to come home refreshed. Instead, their lives were changed forever. As Rich rode down a hill, he lost control of his bike and crashed. His body was mangled, and he barely made it to the hospital alive.

Dana faithfully kept vigil by her husband’s side. He couldn’t feed himself, and he couldn’t walk. One day, as the two of them sat under a shade tree outside the hospital, Rich turned to his wife and said, “Dana, I don’t know if I’ll ever walk again, but I’m learning to walk closer to Jesus, and that’s what I really want.” Instead of shaking his fist at God, Rich reached out and grabbed His hand.

Sometimes in the midst of our trials, we need to think about someone like Rich to help us adjust our perspective—to remind us of the remarkable relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ. This is the relationship we need most when the going gets the toughest.
We are not equipped to handle all the problems we face, but God is. That’s why He told us to give them all to Him—to “cast your burden on the Lord” (Ps. 55:22). As Rich found out, walking with Jesus doesn’t depend on our legs. It depends on our heart.

I don’t worry o’er the future,
For I know what Jesus said;
And today I’ll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.
We can walk through the darkest trials when we walk with God in the light.

Two Days We Should Not Worry
(Inspirational / Motivational Poem)
Two Days We Should Not Worry Author Unknown
There are two days in every week, about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is Yesterday, with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we performed;we cannot erase a single word we said.Yesterday is gone forever.
The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrowwith all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance;Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born.
This leaves only one day, Today.Any person can fight the battle of just one day.It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities,Yesterday and Tomorrow, that we break down.
It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happenedYesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.
Let us, therefore,Live but one day at a time.

let go when it is the time!!!

to "let go" does not mean to stop caringit means I can't do it for someone else.
to "let go" is not to cut myself offit's the realization I can't control another.
to "let go" is not to enablebut to allow learning from natural consequences
.to "let go" is to admit powerlessnesswhich mean the outcome is not in my hands.
to "let go" is not to try to change or blame anotherit's to make the most of myself.
to "let go" is not to care for, but to care about.
to "let go" is not to fix, but to be supportive.
to "let go" is not to judgebut to allow another to be a human being.
to "let go" is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomesbut to allow others to affect their own destinies.
to "let go" is not to be protectivebut to permit another to face reality.
to "let go" is not to deny, but to accept.
to "let go" is not to nag, scold or argue but instead to search outmy own shortcomings and correct them.
to "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
to "let go" is not to criticize and regulate anybodybut to try to become what I dream I can be.
to "let go" is not to regret the pastbut to grow and live for the future.
to "let go" is to fear less and love more.

just throw the net

Just Throw the Net

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

—Acts 16:30

Many of us are afraid to ask someone if they would like to give their life to Jesus Christ for one simple reason: we’re afraid the answer will be no. And it just may be. But there are those wonderful times when someone will surprise you and say, “I want to give my life to Jesus Christ.”

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to be reunited with my father, Oscar Laurie, the man who adopted me. My mother had divorced him when I was a young boy, and that was the last time I had seen him. Years later, when I had an opportunity to preach on the East Coast, he invited our family to stay at his house for the weekend.

After dinner one night, his wife said, “Greg, tell me about how you came to put your faith in Jesus Christ.” As I shared my testimony and what Christ had done for me, my dad sat there listening with his hands folded. I thought, He is not buying this at all. But later that night, he asked me to go walking with him the next morning.

As we walked out into the cold morning air, he said, “I was listening to what you said last night. I want to know what I need to do to give my life to Jesus Christ.” He made a commitment to Christ that day, and he faithfully served the Lord for the remaining 15 years of his life.

Sometimes, when you share your faith, you don’t think you are getting through. But you never know. That is why we need to throw out the net. We need to give people the opportunity.
